An unpublished case, Bel Air Ridge HOA v. Rosenberg, supports the position that boards of directors may extend the balloting period as needed to ensure that a sufficient number of voters cast ballots in connection with special assessments, CC&Rs restatements, and bylaws restatements. The case did not address extending the balloting process for the election of directors.
